Represent Roysambu
Maintain close contact, consult residents and carry their views, petitions and proposals into the County Assembly.
A people-led campaign for Roysambu Ward
Tufix Mtaa is about listening to residents, organising our priorities, pushing county systems and following up until the work is visible.
Roysambu Ward · Nairobi

The plan
Residents identify priorities, we organise the pressure, and your MCA uses legislation, oversight, county planning and budget follow-up to fight for delivery.
How we will use the office together
Public participation gives us the priorities. The office of the MCA gives us the tools to carry them into laws, plans, budgets and oversight.
Maintain close contact, consult residents and carry their views, petitions and proposals into the County Assembly.
Use bills, motions and committees to create rules that help Nairobi County deliver its devolved functions properly.
Question departments, demand records, examine performance and follow public money from promise to procurement to delivery.
Organise residents before participation forums, push Roysambu priorities into county plans and budgets, then track implementation.
Residents should be involved when issues are identified, priorities are set and county budgets are discussed. Participation should happen throughout the term.
We will support regular resident-led meetings in estates, apartment blocks and neighbourhood clusters, building on Nyumba Kumi and other trusted local structures. Each area can choose contact people, keep a simple issue register and bring verified priorities into ward forums. This gives every community a clear route from concern to follow-up.
We will hold practical CBO registration and governance clinics, then schedule listening forums with community groups. Boda boda riders, mama mboga, mechanics, salon workers, small businesses, youth, older residents and PWDs can organise through voluntary sector umbrellas with chosen representatives. For riders, the goal is one representative ward umbrella connecting existing stages and Saccos while preserving each group’s identity.
Listen through estate meetings, field visits and a regular community podcast. Organise the issues, evidence and representatives. Act through county laws, budgets, oversight and the responsible county offices. Report progress publicly so residents know what moved, what stalled and what comes next.
Roads, drainage, water, lighting, waste collection and pedestrian access work as one connected system. We will plan and follow them up that way.
We will document damaged access roads, blocked drains, recurring flooding, unsafe walkways, dark streets and water interruptions by locality. Verified priorities will be carried into county plans and budgets instead of relying on scattered, temporary repairs.
We will monitor approved works, question unfinished or repeatedly repaired projects and push for road works to include proper drainage, safe pedestrian access and the services needed for a durable result.
Better decisions begin with evidence about the facilities, services and support residents can actually reach.
We will map the public dispensaries, health centres, maternity, emergency and referral services serving Roysambu, then establish which essential services residents must travel outside the ward to obtain.
Through budget scrutiny and oversight, we will follow up on staffing, medicine availability, opening hours, maternal care and disability access while linking residents to verified social-support and mental-health referral information.
Every child deserves a safe, dignified and properly supported beginning to their education.
We will establish which public ECDE centres serve the ward and follow up on classroom conditions, sanitation, safe play areas, disability access, teaching resources and the county allocations meant to support them.
We will connect families to legitimate support systems and work with credible education partners on school readiness and foundational learning, with clear safeguarding and no political pressure on children.
Good public spaces create healthier neighbourhoods, stronger relationships and room for talent to grow.
We will push through public participation, county planning and budgeting for a free and welcoming Community Sports and Recreation Park with a football turf, basketball court, skating area, running track, seating, shade and safe play space.
We will protect existing open spaces and support sports, arts, music, reading, mentorship and community learning through transparent partnerships that keep public access at the centre.
Roysambu’s small businesses need dignity, order, fair treatment and properly planned places to work.
Residents and traders have identified the need for an affordable, properly serviced county market for mama mboga, cobblers, tailors and other small traders. We will pursue suitable public land, affordable stalls, water, sanitation, waste collection, lighting and safe access through lawful county processes.
We will organise consultation before relocations or enforcement, provide clear information on county licences and charges, and support boda-stage organisation, safety and shelters while respecting existing Saccos and independent riders.
Partnerships can expand our capacity, but they cannot replace accountability. We will show who is responsible, what was promised, what action was taken and what remains unresolved.
Publish simple summaries of plans and budgets affecting Roysambu, alert residents before participation opportunities and report back on formally adopted ward priorities.
Maintain a public commitment tracker, issue quarterly progress reports and use Assembly questions, motions, committees and budget processes to escalate unresolved county matters.
“Mimi siendi County Assembly kuahidi miujiza. Naenda kupeleka sauti ya Roysambu, kupigania budget, kuuliza maswali ngumu na kufollow up mpaka kazi ionekane.”Munala Khainga
Work on the ground
Listening to riders, traders, young people and residents across Roysambu, then returning with an update.

12 September 2026 · USIU Drive
We visited families living along USIU Drive near St. Joseph of Arimathea after a devastating fire destroyed six homes. The families lost almost everything. One family is also grieving the loss of their seven-year-old child.
Together with members of the community, we brought clothes, a mattress and basic food supplies. The scale of the loss calls for continued support. Tufix Mtaa means building a Roysambu that stands together, especially when a neighbour is at their lowest. We will keep checking in and help coordinate ways for the wider community to support the affected families. Our thoughts and prayers remain with them.
